A few days ago, Allen called us to look at his existing water filtration system. The water had been iron free for the 1st 2 years, but during the last year the water had stained the shower and fixtures in his new house. After 4 service calls, the company that installed the equipment couldn't correct the problem. Our first step was to test the water and the problem was obvious. The other company had been trying to remove 12ppm of iron with only a water softener. (water softeners will only remove up to 4ppm of iron)
To correct the problem as inexpensively as possible, we refurbished his water softener and acid neutralizer tank. Then we installed an Aqua Systems AIF Iron filter, a ultraviolet light for bacteria protection and a reverse osmosis drinking system in the kitchen.
