Today we installed a PureChoice Reverse Osmosis System in Gadsden, Alabama. The homeowners were concerned about the amount of PFOA and PFOS that may be in their tap water. Mrs. M had always filtered her water through her refrigerator filter, but she recently learned these type of water filters were not able to remove the PFOA and PFOS from the water. Refrigerator filters and small PUR or small filters that mount on the end of the faucet are designed to make the tap water taste better, but are not able to truly purify the water. Reverse osmosis water filters are true water purifiers. They remove up to 99% of contaminants from the water, including PFOA, PFOS, lead, and arsenic.
