We replaced a back washing carbon filter in Rockford, Alabama today. Ms. P's existing water filtration system is not what is recommend when using lake water as your main water supply. We have replaced this water filter for her piece by piece. The chlorine pump and retention tank add chlorine to her water for sanitation. She also has a sediment filter and an uv light that the water flows through. The new back washing carbon filter will remove the chlorine that was added early for sanitation so that the chemical is not entering the home at all. With a standard reverse osmosis water filter in the kitchen Ms. P's water is finally clean and safe to drink.
